Thanksgiving Gratitude from Behind the Lens

Updated: Oct 15

Thanksgiving always hits a little different when you live life close to the land. The dust, the wind, the long days — they all have a way of reminding you how much of this life depends on more than just yourself 🍂

I’ve spent this year behind the lens — capturing the faces, stories, and moments that make our communities what they are. Rodeo grounds filled with cheers, the hum of pickup trucks at sunrise, cowboys, cowgirls, kids trying their hand at mutton bustin’, and folks who show up rain or shine just to be part of something bigger than themselves.

And this Thanksgiving, that’s what I’m most thankful for — the people 🙏

The committees who trust me to tell their stories.

The cowboys and cowgirls who pour everything they have into the event they love.

The parents raising kids with calloused hands and kind hearts.

The local businesses who quietly give back without asking for attention.

And every person who’s ever shared, liked, or simply taken a moment to watch one of my videos — thank you.

🍁 Every frame I capture holds a piece of this incredible western life we share, and I don’t take that lightly. It’s more than a career — it’s a calling, one that’s stitched together by community, faith, and a whole lot of gratitude.

From behind the camera to all of you — Happy Thanksgiving.

Here’s to another year of stories worth telling, and moments worth remembering.
