“Why Don’t You Post Barrel Racing Videos?”

Ah yes.

One of the most frequently asked questions in my inbox, DM's, and carrier pigeons:

“Why don’t you post more barrel racing videos?”

And friends… I have a very professional, well-thought-out, highly strategic answer for you.

I don’t have the content.

LOL.

The Not-So-Secret Reality

Most of the rodeos I film throughout the year are ranch rodeos. Think broncs, bulls, rough stock, and cowboys doing things their mothers told them not to do. 🐎💥

Currently, only 2x of the events I cover include barrel racing (but only 1x I'm allowed to capture photos at), so my opportunities to capture it on video are a little more limited than people think.

“But I’ve Seen You Shoot Barrel Racing…”

You’re not wrong! I do have some barrel racing content. However — and this is important — many riders have requested photos instead of video.

And while I would love to clone myself (or at least grow a third arm), the reality is:

👉 I can’t fully do both at the same time.

One camera. One brain. One human. 😅

When riders ask for photos, I want to do that well — sharp, clean, storytelling images that actually do the run justice.

Will I Post Some Barrel Racing?

Yes! 🙌

I’ll be sharing what I have over the next few months. No gatekeeping here.

But the real solution is simple…

I Need More WRA / LRA Rodeos 👀 (I'm not looking to do BR Rodeo only events -- please note)

If you’re involved with — or know of — a rodeo that:

  • Includes barrel racing

  • Doesn’t currently have a videographer

  • Wants content that actually shows the speed, power, and precision of the event

✨ Please tell me about it. ✨

I’m always happy to forward along a pricing package and see if it’s a good fit. No pressure, no awkward sales pitch.

The Bottom Line

I don’t skip barrel racing because I don’t like it.

I skip it because I literally can’t post what I don’t have. 😂

But trust me — when I do have it, you’ll see it.

Until then, thanks for keeping me on my toes, asking great questions, and reminding me that rodeo fans notice everything.

In the meantime, here's a fantastic photo of Melissa Freeman doing what she does best 💥
